The Austin Design Collaborative was founded in 2009 by Peter Raab, a registered architect [TX + FL], AIA, NCARB, and LEED AP.

Peter moved to Austin in 2004 to pursue his Masters in Architecture and Sustainable Design Specialization from The University of Texas. After graduating in 2007, he began teaching at The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, where he currently teaches graduate and undergraduate studios and coordinates the Summer Academy in Architecture.

In addition to teaching, Peter has also worked with several prestigious and award-winning architectural firms such as Foster + Partners in London, Envision Design in Washington, DC and Burton Baldridge Architects in Austin before starting the Austin Design Collaborative in late 2009.

Peter brings an extensive knowledge of both passive and active sustainable design strategies and has served as a 'green building' consultant on several multi-family and commercial projects in the United States. This expertise, coupled with a superlative design sense has allowed him to collaborate on many award-winning and innovative design strategies since the inception of the Austin Design Collaborative.
